A NIF × Soundtrap Creative Audio Workshop that helps students turn ideas into sound through a FREE guided workshop. Access to the free 60-day Soundtrap School Plan is available exclusively to workshop participants.
Create Anywhere
You don’t need expensive software or complicated setups to start creating. Soundtrap works entirely in your browser, so students can jump in instantly. Whether they’re on a laptop at home or a device at school. Projects are saved in the cloud, making it easy to continue anytime, anywhere, without losing progress.
Create Together
Creative work doesn’t have to be done alone. With Soundtrap, students can collaborate in real time: recording, editing, and building ideas together even if they’re in different locations. This makes the process more engaging, more social, and closer to how real creative teams work today.
Start Without Experience
Many students hesitate to explore sound because they feel they “don’t know music.” Soundtrap removes that barrier with a simple, intuitive interface designed for beginners. Students can learn by doing. Experimenting with sound, making mistakes, and building confidence as they go.
Turn Ideas Into Real Sound
Having an idea is one thing; bringing it to life is another. Soundtrap gives students access to professional tools like built-in loops, effects, and auto-tune, so their work can actually sound polished and expressive. It’s not just about learning software, it’s about turning imagination into something real.

Chad Reisfelt
Chad Reisfelt began his career as a classroom educator, where he saw how creativity and technology can help students communicate, engage, and grow. He later moved into education technology, focusing on how digital tools can support meaningful learning experiences for both teachers and students.

At Soundtrap, Chad works with schools to bring music, audio, and podcast creation into the classroom in accessible and practical ways. His work supports curriculum strategy, educator enablement, and creative tool adoption, helping students use sound to tell stories, express ideas, and build creative confidence.
Through this NIF workshop, Chad introduces students to audio creation as part of interdisciplinary art and media practice.
